New Jersey Safe Passing Law

New Jersey’s Safe Passing Law was enacted on March 1, 2022. The law provides clear rules of the road for all motorists when interacting with people on foot, bicycles, on scooters, or otherwise not in a car. This law aims to prevent the near misses, injuries, and deaths that can occur when motorists pass cyclists, pedestrians, or other vulnerable road users.
