Parking Prohibited on Snow Covered Roads
During snow events, please follow all street parking restrictions to enable snow plows to operate safely and efficiently.
Consider adopting a fire hydrant by clearing away snow to ensure emergency access.
Primary roads are prioritized for clearing based on safety, followed closely by neighborhood streets.
Additionally, please make sure your mailbox is protected from snow plow spray.
A.
Whenever snow has fallen and the accumulation is such that it covers the street or highway, an emergency shall exist, and no vehicle shall be parked on either side of any of the streets or parts thereof described in Schedule XVI (§ 143-45) attached to and made a part of this chapter.
B.
The above parking prohibitions shall remain in effect after the snow has ceased until the streets have been plowed sufficiently and to the extent that parking will not interfere with the normal flow of traffic.
