Farmland Applications Mailed to Qualified Applicants

Farmland applications were mailed from the Assessor's office on June 12 to all qualified farmland owners. This year, the NJ Division of Taxation is launching a new on-line Farmland Assessment Application Portal. Somerset County is one of the 4 counties designated to test the portal. This year, owners have the choice of testing the portal or completing the paper copy application. Additional information on this portal has been included in the June 12th mailing. Completed farmland applications are due by August 1, 2026.
