Pavement Preservation

Asphalt Paving Systems has completed over seven miles of pavement preservation work as contracted throughout the town. For residents in areas where roads were microsurfaced, please note that the material undergoes a curing phase. During this time, the surface may appear uneven, but it will smooth out with warm weather and regular traffic. We believe this proven pavement management approach allows the town to maintain our roadways at a higher level of service, extend their useful life, and—most importantly—do so at a significantly lower cost. Also, I’d like to acknowledge that the Public Works Department is making good progress catching up on roadside mowing throughout the town. Earlier in the season, significant equipment breakdowns caused delays, but the team has been working diligently to get back on schedule. We appreciate their efforts to ensure our roadsides are maintained for safety and appearance.
