Road Paving Updates

The Engineering Department would like to report the following:

1. All 2025 Road Paving Program roads are completed except a small section of Bloomingdale Drive, which will be completed within the next few weeks. The Township will apply for an NJDOT Local Aid Grant in 2026 for the balance of Bloomingdale Drive.

2. The Brown Avenue Project is completed. We are waiting for NJDOT Local Aid to complete final inspections. Trucks heading north from the industrial area can now have access to the traffic signal.

3. Somerset County will be repaving Amwell Road between Route 206 and Beekman Lane. This is scheduled for November. The road will improve safety by going from 4 lanes to 2 lanes with designated turn lanes west of the High School. They are working on handicap ramps and traffic signal modification at this time.

4. Dukes Parkway West is scheduled to be repaved beginning at the end of October. There is prep work to be completed first with paved pavement installation and other repairs. Milling and repaving the road will be completed if the weather allows, or it will be completed in Spring 2026.
