Hillsborough Health Collaborative Selected for the Community Partnership Excellence Award

Honor recognizes ‘outstanding contributions to public health’

The Hillsborough Health Collaborative, a coalition comprised of Township staff and local stakeholders, has been selected for the inaugural Community Partnership Excellence Award by the New Jersey Public Health Association. This award recognizes outstanding collaborations that exemplify mutual respect, shared leadership, and deep community engagement, resulting in measurable improvements in public health.

“We are proud of the achievements of the Hillsborough Health Collaborative, “ said Mayor John Ciccarelli. “This award is well-deserved recognition for their dedication to the health and well-being of the Hillsborough community.”

The Community Partnership Excellence Award recognizes the Hillsborough Health Collaborative for demonstrating the power of aligning efforts, pooling resources, and amplifying community voices to address structural barriers and advance equity. By modeling sustainability, inclusivity, and innovation, the Hillsborough Health Collaborative serves as a powerful example of how cross-sector partnerships can transform health outcomes in New Jersey.

“I am very proud of the accomplishments of this health collaborative,” said Health Officer Siobhan Spano.  “We have representatives from the health profession, the public schools, the municipal government offices, and the community joining together to improve the health of our Hillsborough residents. These are caring and generous individuals who volunteer their time to further this goal. They are an inspiring group of people. “

The Award will be presented on October 16, 2025, at the Annual Conference and Award Ceremony of the New Jersey Public Health Association.
