Hillsborough Announces Resource Fair for Older Adults

Fair will provide resources for older adults, their families, and their caregivers

The Hillsborough Township Social Services Department is pleased to announce the upcoming Older Adult Resource Fair, taking place Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Hillsborough Township Municipal Complex, located at 379 South Branch Road.

“This event will provide seniors and their families with access to a wide range of valuable resources,” said Mayor John Ciccarelli at the August 12th Township Committee meeting. 

Resources include legal, financial, and insurance planning; home care and senior services; health and wellness programs; leisure, fitness, technology, and recreation opportunities; housing and assisted living options; and information on Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. Representatives from government offices, including Veterans Services, will also be available to connect attendees with important community support.

In addition to resource tables, the fair will feature presentations, including a special session from AARP focused on Caregiving. These presentations aim to equip both seniors and caregivers with practical knowledge and strategies to navigate the challenges and opportunities of aging.

The Older Adult Resource Fair is designed not only to empower seniors but also to support caregivers by providing them with the information, tools, and connections needed to assist their loved ones. By bringing together a wide range of services and expert advice, the event encourages proactive, informed decision-making that benefits both older adults and those who care for them, fostering independence, security, and quality of life.

“We are very excited to offer this resource fair to the Hillsborough community,” said Director of Social Services Bob Wagner. “So far, we have over 30 vendors who have committed to being there. It will be an excellent opportunity for caregivers and those of us with older parents to make connections with services that they may need in the upcoming years.  “

All Hillsborough residents and their families are invited to attend this valuable event to access resources, ask questions, and build meaningful connections for healthy, active aging.
