May is Building Safety Month

Building Safety Month is an international campaign held in May to raise awareness about building safety. This campaign reinforces the need for the adoption of modern, regularly updated building codes and helps individuals, families, and businesses understand what it takes to create safe and sustainable structures.

Hillsborough Township is committed to recognizing that our growth and strength depend on the safety and economic value of the homes, buildings, and infrastructure that serve our citizens in everyday life and during natural disasters.

The International Code Council sponsors Building Safety Month to remind the public about the critical role of our local code officials, our communities’ unknown protectors of public safety.
