Summer Opportunities Available Through the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board Summer Youth Work Experience Program - Applications Due 5/12

Hillsborough Township is participating in a Summer Youth Experience Work Program (SYWEP) through the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board (GRWDB).  The 2025 program provides 200-hours of work experience that includes on-site project work and career readiness training.  More details about the program can be found on the GRWDB website ( https://www.thegrwdb.org/summer-youth-work-application/).  

 

If you are 16 to 24 years old and interested in working in the Township this summer, you can apply for the program directly on the GRWDB's site. Applications are due by Monday, May 12th.  

Township Project Highlights:

• Construction Department:  categorize & chart documents and identify documents eligible for destruction
• Economic & Business Development Office:  social media support, e-News preparation, business directory management, and support Hillsborough Film Ready Certification 
• Health Department: public health outreach, support public health off-site programs, and assist with Township program notification
• Human Resources Department:  salary & job analysis, database maintenance, update job descriptions, and identify documents for archiving  
• Information Technology / Clerk's Office:  review website for formatting consistency, content, and ADA-compliance
• Planning & Zoning Department:  process improvement analysis, assist with application process, Master Plan support, and research & data collection
• Recreation Department:  project plan for summer camp program & future events, implement & oversee those programs, and assist in updating or creating marketing materials 
• Recreation Department:  assist with daily functions for summer programs, assist with field-related activities, and assist with Township special events
