Hillsborough Township is One of the Safest Cities in New Jersey for the Third Year

Hillsborough Township was once again ranked among the top safest communities in the State of New Jersey, according to a report by Safewise, a security product review platform.

The SafeWise Report released its “Safest Cities in New Jersey” list earlier this month, naming Hillsborough Township the 20th safest city in the state. To compile this report, SafeWise used the most recent FBI crime data, population, and other ranking factors, like unique safety initiatives and security programs implemented within the past few years. 

“I’m pleased to announce that Hillsborough continues to rank among the top safest places to live in New Jersey,” stated Mayor John Ciccarelli at the April 22nd Township Committee meeting. “This is not only due to the men and women who serve on the Police force,  but also the Hillsborough Community who continues to take pride of ownership.”

“We are proud to be recognized as one of the safest municipalities in NJ once again,” added Hillsborough Township Police Chief Mike McMahon. “This is a direct result of the hard work that our officers put in every day to serve our community.”
